Source: CoinWorld
A Canadian cryptocurrency hacker was sentenced to one year in jail in the United States and was released on bail in 2022 for a $34.84 million SIM card exchange theft he committed at the age of 17, during which he stole more than $725,000 from 200 victims. The FBI tracked him through a PlayStation username purchased with the stolen funds. Although the court has apologized and issued a compensation order, he continued to commit fraud by taking over Account X during his release.
