American Express now offers NFT travel commemorative postmarks for travelers

PANews September 16th news, according to Cointelegraph, payment company American Express has launched a blockchain-based travel commemorative postmark for customers as a digital souvenir of their travel experience. According to the company's website, each travel postmark will be stored in the form of ERC-721 NFT on the Ethereum Layer2 network Base, which is used to preserve customers' travel history and overseas memories. Each postmark can be customized to highlight the best experience of each trip, such as special attractions, unforgettable food, hotel stays or favorite activities. Only customers holding an American Express U.S. consumer card associated with an online account are eligible for use of the American Express passport service and these NFTs are not transferable. Each postmark only displays the country or region where the postmark is located, the postmark description and the date when the postmark was obtained. Personal information and travel details will not be displayed on Base.
