According to Foresight News, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) stated that Stephen Ehrlich, co-founder of bankrupt crypto lending platform Voyager, must pay $750,000 to fraudulent customers. Ehrlich did not acknowledge or deny the charges and was banned from trading goods for three years, according to a consent order in New York.
Earlich and Voyager in October 2023, the CFTC sued Ehrlich and Voyager for fraudulent operation of digital asset platforms to attract customers with high returns and lend billions of dollars in customer assets to high-risk third parties. Ehrlich said he was "angry and disappointed" with the charges.
