According to Huobi HTX, Robinhood (stock code HOOD) plans to launch a publicly listed fund, Robinhood Ventures Fund I, to provide US retail investors with opportunities to invest in private equity companies (including unlisted IPO companies). Robinhood said that for a long time, private equity investment opportunities have been mainly aimed at the wealthy and institutions, and ordinary investors have been excluded, and the fund will change this pattern so that ordinary investors can also participate in the elite investment field. Robinhood has submitted a preliminary registration statement for the public offering of the fund with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and plans to trade under the RVI code on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The company said that the fund will hold a portfolio for a long time and cover multiple industries to cope with the trend of declining the number of listed companies and the significant increase in the number and value of private equity companies in recent years. The total valuation of private equity companies in the United States has exceeded US$10 trillion.
