Huobi HTX reported that a U.S. District Court judge dismissed a lawsuit filed by environmental groups on Monday. The lawsuit challenges the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) decision to approve Elon Musk's SpaceX company in 2022 to expand its rocket launch operations near a National Wildlife Refuge in southern Texas. The groups say noise, light pollution, construction and road traffic can also damage the environment in the area. This is a habitat for endangered species of leopard cats and jaguar cats, and is also a nesting site for endangered Kempera turtles and threatened shorebirds. U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols, based in Washington, said the FAA has fulfilled its obligation to “seriously examine the effects of light on nearby wildlife.”
