OpenAI upgrade Codex with new version of GPT-5

OpenAI released GPT-5-Codex, a dynamic AI encoding model that adjusts task processing time from seconds to seven hours, surpassing GPT-5 in coding benchmarks. ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Edu and Enterprise users have now obtained the model through Codex products and will also open API access in the future. The update aims to compete with competitors such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot in the highly competitive AI coding tool market.
