Tether chooses Anchorage Digital to set new standards for US stablecoins

Source: CoinWorld
According to Coinjie.com, Tether chose Anchorage Digital, the only digital asset bank in the United States that has obtained a federal licensee, which will be responsible for issuing Tether's upcoming stablecoin USAT. Tether announced last week that it will launch its new U.S. regulatory stablecoin, USAT, by the end of this year. Anchorage Digital will help issue the token, which complies with the GENIUS Act. The collaboration between Tether and Anchorage Digital highlights the future of the digital dollar and sets new standards for the U.S. stablecoin space. The launch of the USAT comes as the stablecoin market gains momentum in global adoption and regulation. The GENIUS Act enacted this year allows for compliance with stablecoins innovation and use in the United States. Tether's USAT, released by Anchorage Digital Bank NA, will increase appeal with other players, such as Circle. It is worth noting that regulatory clarity allows Tether to enter the United States. “The GENIUS Act sets the vision for U.S. stablecoins leadership – and now, Anchorage Digital and Tether are turning it into reality,” said Nathan McCauley, CEO of Anchorage Digital. “Taking the world’s largest stablecoin ecosystem to the United States under federal regulation is exactly what U.S. consumers and institutions need. With Tether’s scale and Anchorage Digital’s regulatory certainty, we are setting the gold standard for the U.S. stablecoin market,” McCauley added. Anchorage allows Tether to expand its products, especially as USDT ( USDT ) continues to dominate the ecosystem. Currently, USDT has more than US$160.00 billion in global circulation. Issuance, reserve management and financial compliance are the main areas brought by this agreement. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said in a statement that Anchorage Digital has enabled Tether to launch stablecoins specifically targeted at the U.S. market. “With the USAT, Americans will eventually be able to get as fast, reliable and trustworthy services as Tether is around the world,” Ardoino noted. “USAT is made for the United States – aiming to strengthen the dollar, support the general population, and strengthen the U.S. economy in the coming years.”
