Coinbase CEO clarifies: There is currently no clear plan for Base network tokens

Golden Finance reported that in response to Base's announcement that it plans to explore the launch of an online token, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong issued a statement on the X platform to clarify that Base is indeed exploring its online token. It is hoped that the token can become an excellent tool to accelerate decentralization and expand the growth of creators and developers in the ecosystem. However, it should be clearly pointed out that there is no clear plan for the relevant tokens at this stage, and the disclosure of relevant information is only for the purpose of publicly updating the concept. It is reported that there are no specific details about timing, design or governance in Base network tokens.
