The Ethereum Foundation sets up an artificial intelligence team to support proxy payments

The Ethereum Foundation is forming a dedicated artificial intelligence team - the dAI team, aiming to position Ethereum as the settlement and coordination layer of the "machine economy". The team, led by research scientist Davide Crapis, aims to enable AI agents to trade without intermediaries and build a decentralized AI stack that takes full advantage of Ethereum’s neutrality and verifiability. The team will focus on standards such as ERC-8004 for AI identity and trust, supporting public products in the intersection of AI and blockchain.
