Harvard professor says dollar will maintain throne

Harvard professor Geeta Gopinas insists that the dollar will maintain its global dominance despite the challenges from its local currency and the dollar index has fallen 10% year-to-date. She stressed the resilience of the US dollar in absorbing market shocks and its continued dominance in reserves, trade and finance, and pointed out that the currencies in emerging economies lack equal acceptance and stability.
