Man sentenced to jail and seized 1.3 million pounds of cryptocurrency

Devon police seized £1.3 million worth of cryptocurrency from 36-year-old Ryan Coleman. Coleman was sentenced to 15 years in prison for selling Class A and Class B drugs online. Over the past six years, Coleman has conducted more than 18,500 transactions on the dark web market under the pseudonym Snowcap, with a total value of more than £1 million. Police use advanced methods to track his cryptocurrency activities that underpin his lifestyle. Authorities will seize the assets under the Proceeds of Crime Act, half of which will be used for policing expenses and the other half will be handed over to the UK Treasury.
