According to ChainCatcher, John Egan, head of Stripe's crypto business, announced his resignation and will join Polygon Labs as Chief Product Officer (CPO) on Tuesday, according to FORTUNE CRYPTO. Egan has led Stripe's major crypto mergers and businesses, including: the $1.1 billion acquisition of stablecoin new Bridge (completed in February this year), the acquisition of crypto wallet company Privy and Paradigm to develop its own blockchain Tempo. He said he chose to join Polygon because he was optimistic about its leading position in stablecoin micropayment. According to Artemis Analytics data, in July this year, 4.5 million active addresses on Polygon used stablecoins to trade, surpassing Ethereum's 2.9 million, and users are closer to the "daily payment" scenario.
