Starknet launches BTC staking integration upgrade

According to Bijie.com, Starknet has begun upgrading to integrate BTC staking. The staking agreement will be suspended for several hours to complete this major update. This upgrade will allow Bitcoin holders to participate in the Starknet consensus. Specific parameters include: the BTC staking weight is set to 0.25, which means that Bitcoin accounts for 25% of the consensus weight and STRK bears the remaining 75%; initially supports WBTC, LBTC, tBTC and SolvBTC, and other BTC derivatives will be added through governance; the staking release period is shortened from 21 days to 7 days, which is suitable for BTC and STRK stakers. According to previous news, Starknet: The BTC staking function will be launched on the main network on September 30.
