Starknet launches BTC staking integration upgrade

According to ChainCatcher, Starknet announced that it has started a BTC staking integration upgrade, and the staking agreement will be suspended for several hours to complete this major update. This upgrade will allow Bitcoin holders to participate in the Starknet consensus. Specific parameters include: BTC staking weight is set to 0.25, that is, Bitcoin accounts for 25% of the consensus weight, and the remaining 75% is borne by STRK; initially support WBTC, LBTC, tBTC and SolvBTC, and other BTC derivatives can be added through governance; the staking release cycle is shortened from 21 days to 7 days, which is suitable for BTC and STRK stakers.
