Vibe coding turns senior developers into "AI nanny", but they say it's worth it

Experienced developers spend a lot of extra time fixing AI-generated code, and a Fastly survey shows that 95% of nearly 800 developers have reported this issue. Senior developers take the heaviest burden in validating and modifying code, which often contains security risks, illusions, and unnecessary scripts. While AI coding tools can speed up prototyping and reduce tedious tasks, they require strict manual supervision, and some developers even spend 30 to 40% of their time "repair the atmosphere." Despite the new IT blind spots and guidance gaps in AI, most developers believe that the productivity gains it brings out of the drawbacks, even though AI is still more like “delegating tasks to a stubborn teen” than a reliable junior developer.
