The validator queue for the Ethereum Proof of Stake (PoS) network is changing significantly. As of today, the exit queue has reached 2.636 million ETH, worth approximately US$12.28 billion, and the current queue time is 45 days and 18 hours.
Meanwhile, the entry queue was 634,000 ETH, worth about $2.97 billion, a 11-day delay.
The substantial increase in exit queues is mainly attributed to Kiln withdrawing validator nodes. Kiln has pledged about 1.6 million ETH and the withdrawn ETH is reportedly re-staking with a new verifier key, suggesting that the assets are not intended to be sold.
On September 10, after SwissBorg was hacked, staking service provider Kiln announced that it would orderly withdraw all its Ethereum validator nodes to ensure the integrity of staking assets.
