According to PANews, the new Austrian central bank president and ECB Management Committee Martin Kocher said that if there is no major impact, the ECB can temporarily maintain interest rates at 2%. On Thursday, the European Central Bank decided to keep interest rates unchanged at 2% for the second consecutive meeting. Kocher said that if there is no significant change in the data, the reason for the decision this month will continue to hold in the coming meetings. He personally tends to be cautious in monetary policy and advises not to take too much risk on inflation.
