Vitalik: Ethereum plans to expand 10 times next year, Asia plays a key role in Ethereum's early development

According to Bitcoin.com, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin announced Ethereum’s expansion goals and development vision in his EthTokyo 2025 keynote speech. Ethereum plans to achieve 10x scalability next year, maintaining decentralization and security while increasing throughput and accessibility. It reaffirms its firm belief in L2 solutions that not only improve scalability but also enhance interoperability among ecosystems. It also particularly emphasized the key role of Asia in the early development of Ethereum, including the development of PyEthereum client in China and the contribution of early volunteers to translate white papers into multiple Asian languages. It points out that Asian communities play an important role in increasing awareness and recruiting early adopters. In addition, it calls for expanded community participation, believing that Ethereum’s progress should not be driven by core developers alone, and that researchers, application developers and new contributors should all actively participate in ecosystem construction. He also expressed support for revitalizing the initial token issuance (ICO) and the governance model based on the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).
