Rio de Janeiro confirms the 2025 BRICS headquarters plan and makes relevant preparations

Rio de Janeiro has formally proposed to establish a permanent BRICS headquarters by 2025 and to make the historic Brazilian Horse Racing Club building its location. Deputy Mayor Eduardo Cavalere confirmed that consultations are currently in place with the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs aim to institutionalize the BRICS operations outside of the term of the rotating presidency. The move is expected to promote foreign investment, employment and tourism revenue, with more than 4,000 participants from 37 countries participating in the recent BRICS event held in Rio de Janeiro.
