PANews reported on September 13 that in order to avoid liquidation, Whale "0x8c5" deposited US$4 million worth of USDC into HyperLiquid to increase the liquidation price of its ETH 20 times leveraged short positions. The whale still had an unrealized loss of $14 million, with a total loss of $26 million.
