According to Foresight News, Story announced that it will launch IP Vault, which is scheduled to launch IP Vault on Dev Network later this year, with the test network and mainnet scheduled to be released in 2026. Story states that IP Vault is a secure on-chain storage space attached to IP assets to store confidential IP data on Story. These IP Vaults are protected by the network and are accessible only to the IP owner and their license holders. Vault itself does not store the original files, but rather stores the encryption keys used to unlock these files, regardless of where the files are hosted (e.g. IPFS, Shelby). After the IP owner registers an IP, confidential information can be attached to the IP Vault at any time.
