PANews reported on September 12 that according to the official merger and acquisition, Tether today released its planned US dollar-backed stablecoin USAT, which is regulated by the United States, and announced the appointment of Bo Hines as the future CEO of Tether USAT. The design of the USAT will comply with the recently enacted stablecoin Act (GENIUS Act) in the United States. USAT will leverage Tether’s Hadron technology and Anchorage Digital will serve as the GENIUS compliance issuer. The two parties work together to provide Tether USAT with a solution to issuing fully regulated digital dollars. The new token will leverage the Tether Group’s global distribution network. Cantor Fitzgerald will serve as the designated reserve custodian and serve as the priority first-tier dealer. Bo Hines integrates legal, business and policy expertise into the position of USAT CEO. As an entrepreneur and former executive director of the White House cryptocurrency committee, he has been active at the intersection of governance, legal and financial innovation. His appointment highlights Tether's commitment to launching the USAT under U.S. domestic leadership and a clear understanding of the regulatory priorities in the United States.
