Crypto industry groups urge the British government to include blockchain in the bilateral initiative British-American Tech Bridge ahead of Trump’s visit. The letter pointed out that distributed ledger technology (DLT) is changing financial services by improving capital flows, enabling faster and cheaper payments, increasing efficiency and expanding inclusion, thus bringing benefits to domestic economic growth and employment. They said excluding digital assets would be a "missed opportunity" that could put the UK in trouble. The British-American Science and Technology Bridge is a bilateral initiative aimed at strengthening cooperation in advanced technology fields, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, space, quantum and biotechnology, and digital finance. Trump’s trip to the UK will take place from September 17 to 19, the invitation was sent by King Charles and was conveyed by British Prime Minister Sir Keel Starmer at the White House Trade Conference in February this year.
