Cardano has been running for 8 years, second only to Bitcoin: How will the network develop next?

Cardano has celebrated its eighth anniversary since its launch in September 2017, with its network uptime second only to Bitcoin, processing more than 113 million transactions and an ADA transaction price of $0.88. Upcoming upgrades include enhanced features such as Ouroboros Peras for fast finality, Ouroboros Leios for high throughput and Cardinal protocol for Bitcoin-Cardano bridging, CIP-0118 for nested transactions and Jolteon for adaptive BFT consensus.
