ZachXBT: THORSwap offers over $1 million in bounty for THORChain founder wallet vulnerability

Source: ChainCatcher
According to ChainCatcher, according to The Block, on-chain detective ZachXBT revealed that THORSwap has repeatedly issued reward invitations to hackers who attacked a user's personal wallet in the past few days. The victim may be John-Paul Thorbjornsen, founder of THORChain. The latest information on the chain on Friday shows that the return of THOR tokens is available for rewards, and no legal action will be taken to return within 72 hours, and contact information is provided. PeckShield initially said that the THORChain protocol was attacked and lost about $1.2 million, but later corrected that the user's personal wallet was attacked. ZachXBT said it is likely that John-Paul Thorbjornsen's wallet was stolen by North Korean hackers on Tuesday. Thorbjornsen admitted that the attack originated from a fake Zoom link sent by a friend’s hacked Telegram account. He said that the old MetaMask wallet that was emptied was in another logged-out Chrome configuration, and the keys were stored in the iCloud keychain, which was accessible by the attacker or through a zero-day vulnerability, which made him more convinced that the threshold signature wallet was the only real protection.
