Mosyle discovers new malware ModStealer bypasses antivirus software to steal crypto wallet assets

According to Decrypt, security company Mosyle has disclosed a cross-platform malware called ModStealer. The software is able to bypass antivirus detection and is specifically designed to encrypt wallets on browsers on Windows, Linux and macOS systems. The malware is spread by disguising itself as a job ad, targeting developers, scanning browser wallet extensions, system credentials, and digital certificates, and transferring data to remote servers. On macOS, it will be disguised as a background assistant program to automatically run.
