Reuters survey: The Fed will cut interest rates by another 75 basis points next year, and the final interest rate will be close to 3.00%-3.25%

Odaily Planet Daily News Reuters survey shows that nearly all of 107 economists predict that the Federal Reserve will implement a 25 basis point key interest rate cut on September 17, and most experts expect further rate cuts in the first quarter of next year. The market has fully digested the September rate cut expectations and is currently expected to have three cuts this year, compared with only two expected a few weeks ago. 64 of the 107 economists surveyed (60%) expect interest rates to be cut by a total of 50 basis points by the end of 2025, with 37% of experts predicting a 75 basis point decline this year, a sharp increase from the 22% proportion in August. 26 economists say that the next year, there is more likely to be a surge in inflation or a rapid rise in inflation and unemployment. The median survey shows that the Fed will cut interest rates by another 75 basis points next year, bringing the federal funds rate to 3.00%-3.25%.
