Security company: Cross-platform malware called "ModStealer" can evade antivirus detection and target browser wallets

Source: golden
According to Golden Finance, security company Mosyle disclosed that researchers have discovered a new type of malware that bypasses antivirus software inspections and steals data from cryptocurrency wallets on Windows, Linux and macOS systems. The malware called ModStealer has been lurking under mainstream antivirus engines for nearly a month at the time of disclosure and has not been discovered. Its transmission method is through false job advertisements targeting developers. Mosyle said that spreading through fake job ads is intentional because the target is for developers who may already be using the Node.js environment.
