According to Bijie.com, ME News, on September 12 (UTC+8), 네이버페이 (Naver Pay) announced that it would acquire 70% of the shares of the non-listed stock trading platform "증권플러스 비상장" for 68.6 billion won (approximately US$50.07 million), thus becoming the largest shareholder and obtaining operating rights. As of August, Securities Plus Unlisted had a total of about 1.67 million registered users, a total of about 830,000 transactions, and a total transaction volume of about 1.9 trillion won. It has been designated as the innovative financial service of the Korea Financial Commission since 2020. According to the announcement, both parties plan to apply for an "OTC Intermediary Industry" license to meet the upcoming regulatory requirements.
