Yardeni, a well-known analyst, raises U.S. stock target, says S&P index is expected to rise to 7,000 points this year

Huobi HTX reported that Wall Street senior strategist Ed Yardeni raised his baseline target for the S&P 500 at the end of the year from 6,600 points to 6,800 points, and believes that the benchmark index of the U.S. stock market has a 25% chance of "clustering" to 7,000 points during the period. The new target means the index will rise another 4.1% from Wednesday's closing at 6,532 points. Yardeni attributes the new target to stable inflation data and expectations of the Fed's interest rate cut next week.
