JPMorgan Chase: Stock buybacks hit record high

Source: golden
According to Golden Finance, JPMorgan Chase expects the scale of U.S. stock buybacks to increase by another $600 billion from a record $1.5 trillion this year. In just eight months, the global repurchase scale has reached US$1.37 trillion last year, which means that it may reach US$1.9 trillion in 2025, an increase of 38%. Despite strong trading volumes, buybacks relative to market capitalization remain below their historical peaks (2.6% in 2007 and 5% in 2007). Amid the sluggish IPO activity, record stock buybacks are reducing stock supply for the fourth consecutive year, continuing to support the market.
