According to Bijie.com, Anna Liu, CEO of HashKey Tokenisation, attended the 10th Belt and Road Forum on September 11. As the only invited representative of the digital asset company, she delivered a keynote speech. She stressed that only forward-looking regulatory frameworks can release responsible technological innovation and that laws should serve as a bridge connecting innovation and trust in digital assets. From the perspective of practitioners, she called for: First, to integrate legal thinking throughout the entire technological development process and ensure compliance from the beginning. Second, convert legal principles into smart contract logic to accurately correspond on-chain digital ownership with real-world legal rights in RWA applications. Third, establish industry standards and frameworks to strengthen regulatory agencies’ confidence in innovation through best practices. Fourth, coordinate different regulatory requirements and create an interoperable legal framework to achieve the free flow of innovation and capital. Anna pointed out that law provides rules for economic development, and sound rules can release huge productivity. The Hong Kong Stablecoin Ordinance, which will officially come into effect in August 2025, is an outstanding legal practice that strikes a balance between innovation and compliance. HashKey Tokenisation will also continue to adhere to compliance, defend the cornerstone of trust, explore responsible industry innovations, and promote Hong Kong’s role as a digital asset hub in the Belt and Road Initiative.
