Analysts: The European Central Bank will not cut interest rates, and whether the market focuses on easing cycle will come to an end

Golden Finance reported that the market generally expects that the European Central Bank will keep its key interest rates unchanged at its monetary policy meeting in September. The key question now, however, is whether the ECB will make clear mention of its end of its rate cut cycle on Thursday. "The swap market is priced, and the probability of a 25 basis point cut rate is 75% in the next 12 months." By contrast, most economists surveyed by Reuters expect the ECB to end the rate cut. In addition, industry experts and analysts have hinted that ECB President Lagarde and some of her colleagues have set high barriers for future interest rate cuts, and that only when the economic growth outlook deteriorates and the deflation trend continues can the ECB be persuaded to resume loose policies. "The press conference will focus on economic resilience and reducing trade uncertainty. When asked about risks, Lagarde may insist that the committee is in a good position but will not explicitly suggest a rate cut in the future." (Golden X)
