According to ChainCatcher, Variant Chief Legal Officer Jake Chervinsky said there is currently no so-called "GENIUS Compliance" stablecoins. The GENIUS Act only provides an overall framework, and specific rules need to be formulated by regulators.
Rules are a huge task. GENIUS will not take effect 120 days after the rules are determined. The estimated effective date is November 15, 2026. Until then, stablecoins will operate in the past regulatory manner.
