According to ChainCatcher, according to ScrollDAO representative olimpio (@OlimpioCrypto) on the social media X platform, ScrollDAO officially announced the suspension of its governance mechanism, and DAO leader Eugene has officially resigned this week. According to the latest representative meeting shared by olimpio, Scroll co-founder Haichen (@shenhaichen) said the team is "redesigning governance" but has not provided a clear follow-up plan or timetable.
Team member Raza (@razacodes) emphasized in the meeting that they wanted to use words such as "pause" rather than "stop" or "dismantle" to describe the governance change. At present, multiple governance proposals (including financial management proposals) are still in progress and their implementation status has not yet been determined.
In addition, olimpio pointed out that the Scroll team used the term "experiment" several times in the meeting to describe the current governance and said that it took time to sort out the status quo. It is worth noting that as a community representative with 176KSCR and ranked fourth in governance power, olimpio claims to have been banned from access by the ScrollDiscord server, further raising the community's concerns about project transparency.
