Sonic slows down, but speed still determines its DeFi advantages

Source: CoinWorld
Sonic’s total lock-in value (TVL) has fallen to $164.28 million from $253 million at the end of January, reflecting typical DeFi volatility rather than systemic risk. It remains one of the top ten EVM protocols, with powerful metrics including 720 milliseconds of transaction finality and 0.98 seconds of block time. Despite the decline, adoption remains strong, with Silo Finance already launching a v2 version on Sonic to support tokenized risk-weighted assets (RWA) and BTC earnings strategies.
