Quintenz said he made public the text messages out of concerns that Trump was "possibly misled." The text message showed that the Winklevoss brothers had pressured Quintenz to get its promise in the civil case between Gemini and CFTC, but Quintenz refused. Quintenz also said the two brothers contacted the White House after that and asked for their confirmation process to be suspended. The U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee had planned to question Quintenz in July, but was postponed due to a White House request.
