Source: CoinWorld
A recent survey showed that 93% of Indian investors required regulation of cryptocurrencies, with 56% prioritizing investor protection, 24% supporting minimum rules to promote innovation, and 13% seeking tax-focused regulation. 84% of investors believe that the current cryptocurrency tax is unfair, while 90% say they are willing to increase their investment if the tax policy is clearer and more relaxed. Cryptocurrencies are gaining political attention, with 91% of respondents considering cryptocurrency policies when voting, especially among urban voters under the age of 35. Although the 2018 bank ban was overturned in 2020, cryptocurrencies remain in the legal gray area in India.
