Kiln: Exiting all Ethereum verification nodes as a SwissBorg-related security incident prevention measure

Source: ForesightNews
Staking Infrastructure Kiln announced that following yesterday’s Solana incident involving SwissBorg, Kiln began orderly exiting all its Ethereum (ETH) verification nodes today to ensure the security of customer assets after the event. The exit process is expected to take between 10 and 42 days, depending on the validator, and the withdrawal will be completed as a network plan, with a maximum of 9 days. During the exit period, validators can still receive rewards, Kiln stressed that once potential vulnerabilities are found in the infrastructure, they take immediate action and exiting the verification node is a responsible move to protect the security of the stakeholder. Kiln has suspended some services on its staking platform, such as Kiln Dashboard, Widget, and API. Additionally, Swiss crypto exchange SwissBorg CEO Cyrus Fazel denied that hacking his wealth management company stole $41 million yesterday, instead attributed the attack to an external DeFi wallet held by its SOL staking partner Kiln.
