Metaplanet will issue 385 million shares to raise about $1.4 billion to purchase Bitcoin

According to the announcement of Metaplanet on September 10, according to the Metaplanet announcement, the company has determined to issue 385 million shares through international issuance, with an issue price of 553 yen per share, and the total amount of funds is expected to be approximately 212.9 billion yen (approximately equal to US$1.444 billion). The 183.7 billion yen of the raised funds will be used to purchase Bitcoin between September and October. The company now holds about 20,000 Bitcoins with a market value of about 322 billion yen; another 20.4 billion yen will be invested in Bitcoin earnings generation business (such as option trading) to promote full-year profits. After the issuance is completed, the company's total share capital will increase to 1.141 billion shares. Nakamoto, reported earlier today, will invest $30 million in Metaplanet as part of Metaplanet's international stock financing.
