Cboe Global Markets plans to launch continuous futures for Bitcoin and Ether on its CFE exchange starting November 10, 2025, and is yet to be approved by regulators. These 10-year cash settlement contracts will track real-time spot prices and simplify long-term digital asset investments for U.S. investors within the framework of centralized liquidation. Catherine Clay, global derivatives director at Cboe, highlighted the product’s appeal to institutions and retail traders seeking regulated cryptocurrency derivatives. The launch of the product is consistent with recent efforts by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to support innovation in onshore digital assets.
