The U.S. Department of Justice issued a notice saying that a man in Lapent, California, was sentenced to 51 months in prison and required $26.9 million in compensation for participating in global crypto scams. He and his accomplices used the Bahamas company Axis Digital to receive funds, transfer the victim funds to Delt's bank account and then exchanged them for USDT to transfer them to fraudulent wallet. The case is part of the Ministry of Justice's continued crackdown on transnational "pig killing" crypto fraud and money laundering network.
