How to stay secure if you are using MetaMask, Phantom, Trust, or any crypto wallet that is subject to NPM attacks

Source: CoinWorld
NPM (a software registry center that supports crypto wallets like MetaMask) has recently suffered a cyber attack, leaving millions of users at risk of clipboard hijacking and transactions intercepting malware. Malicious codes exchange wallet addresses during transactions and transfer funds without being noticed. The attacker's Ethereum wallet has been identified, but no stolen funds have been found to have been transferred. Experts urge users to verify each character of the address and use a hardware wallet to enhance security. The incident highlights systemic vulnerabilities in widely used development tools (more than 2 billion downloads per week).
