Source: CoinWorld
SpaceX has agreed to acquire a wireless spectrum license from EchoStar for about $17 billion, including up to $8.5 billion in cash and $8.5 billion in stock, as well as $2 billion in interest on EchoStar’s debt to 2027. The protocol also allows Boost Mobile users to use Starlink's direct-to-base station service, thus extending coverage to underserved areas. EchoStar shares surged nearly 20% after the news was announced, while Tesla shares fell on investors' concerns about SpaceX's financial commitments.
