Dunamu, a South Korean Upbit exchange operator, is reportedly developing a blockchain project called GIWA, based on a recent trademark application covering blockchain software and digital asset infrastructure. The applications imply that the project may offer a Layer 1 or Layer 2 solution for digital assets or identity systems, but the company has not confirmed it yet. The project is in line with Dunamu’s strategic priorities before the UDC 2025 conference in Seoul, with the theme of the conference “Blockchain, Going to Mainstream” and new CEO Ok Kyung-seok will outline the company’s vision.
