El Salvador celebrates the fourth anniversary of Bitcoin Day, adding 21 new BTC positions to 6313.18

PANews reported on September 8 that according to El Salvador President Nayib Bukele, the country purchased 21 Bitcoin (BTC) on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the implementation of the Bitcoin Law, with a total holding of 6313.18 coins, worth more than US$701 million. Since March 2024, El Salvador has increased its holdings of 1 BTC per day and has purchased a total of 28 in the past 7 days. In addition, the El Salvador government announced that it would spread its Bitcoin reserves to 14 addresses to deal with the threat of quantum computing security, after which all BTC was previously stored in a single wallet address. El Salvador sets Bitcoin as fiat currency in 2021 and sets its anniversary as "Bitcoin Day". As of 2025, about 80,000 civil servants have obtained Bitcoin certification, and the government has also passed relevant laws supporting the Bitcoin banking and capital market framework.
