Odaily Planet Daily News reported that in late August, the illiquid supply of Bitcoin (illiquid supply, the amount of Bitcoin held by entities with almost no history of spending) exceeded 14.3 million BTC, a record high. In the past 30 days, the net increase in non-current supply has reached 20,000 BTC. Of the 19.9 million BTC currently circulating, about 72% of the total supply is in a non-current state and is held by long-term holders and cold storage investors and other entities. This growth highlights the continued cumulative trend even during recent market volatility. In mid-August, Bitcoin hit an all-time high of $124,000 and then fell by about 15%. Despite the price correction, non-liquid supply continued to rise, indicating that holders have not sold due to short-term adjustments. (Coindesk)
